Romine Named OCCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week

The Ohio Community College Athletic Association (OCCAC) has named Edison State Community College freshman Lexi Romine the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II Women's Softball Pitcher of the Week for April 9-15.

Romine, of Enon, OH, earned the 'W' at Miami University-Hamilton, tossing five shutout innings (complete game). She scattered three hits and a walk in posting the goose egg and striking out seven. Romine was impressive at the dish, too, going 5-for-7 with two doubles, three RBI, and three runs scored in two games.

The Lady Charger softball team is slated to return to action on Friday, April 20 at Cuyahoga Community College. The team's next home game will be Tuesday, April 24 at 3:30 p.m. against Sinclair Community College.
