12:55 a.m. - Traffic stop on the I-75 northbound ramp. The driver had obviously been drinking, so field sobriety tests were conducted. He did not do well and was taken to the station for a breath test but refused. He was cited for OVI and released to a sober friend.
2:34 a.m. - Traffic stop on W. Market at S. Dorset. The driver was cited for driving under suspension and for expired plates.
10:20 a.m. - An officer saw that the sign at the corner of Stanfield and Patterson Ln W. was damaged. There are no suspects.
11:17 a.m. - To Kroger for a report of a theft. A manager reported that he had a woman in custody who had tried to steal $129 worth of groceries, general merchandise and beverages. She was cooperative and was charged with theft.
1:15 p.m. - To the 1900 block of W. Main St. for a report of a private property accident.
4:15 p.m. - An officer saw a gold Cadillac run the red light at Stanfield and Main. The Caddy then stopped in the middle of the intersection. He initiated a traffic stop and cited the driver for failure to obey a traffic control device.
4:50 p.m. - To Market & Nashville for a report of an accident with no injuries. The driver of a Suburban said that he was trying to turn left onto Nashville Rd. when he was rear-ended by a Chevy Cruze. The driver of the Crize said that he was looking up to put his visor down, and did not have time to stop. The driver of the cruze was cited for assured clear distance and for OVI. The Cruze was towed.
5:13 p.m. - Traffic stop on S. Union near Racer. The driver was cited for speed.
6:54 p.m. - Traffic stop on Market near Ferguson. The driver was cited for speed (64/35).
8:10 p.m. - Traffic stop on Main near Norwich. The driver was cited for no headlights at night and for driving under suspension. A licensed driver took control of the vehicle.
10:24 p.m. - Traffic stop on Market at Water. The driver was cited for driving under suspension.
8:01 a.m. - To Crescent Dr. for a parking complaint. A vehicle with expired plates was parked on the street. The vehicle was towed and the owner was cited.
11:10 a.m. - A woman came to the Police Station to report phone harassment. A woman reported that she felt threatened and feared for her safety due to threats being made by her husband. she said that he sends multiple emails, texts and phone calls each day stating in a vague way how he will kill her if she gets another boyfriend. She said a friend told her that the husband had made a post on Facebook stating, "I will never hesitate to put a hot (gun emoji). Please don't make me do that." She said she believed the statement was directed to her. She asked about a protection order and was given information. The husband was contacted and denied making any threats toward the RP. HE said that they are going through a divorce and that things are tense. He was warned not to contact her in any way. He asked that she be warned not to contact him, and officers did so. Both were advised to call if either contacted the other party.
12:42 p.m. - To Kroger for a report of found property. A ring was found inside the store. It was placed in the property room.
2:11 p.m. - To S. Dorset Rd. for a report of a theft in progress. Suspects were apprehended and charged with Theft, Tampering with Evidence and Drug Abuse.
2:19 p.m. - To Banbury Rd. for a report of a drug offense. A female was cited for Drug possession: marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
4:12 p.m. - Traffic stop on Kings Chapel Dr. between Waterford and INverness. The driver was cited for speed, failure to wear a seat belt, and driving under suspension. The vehicle was impounded.
7:50 p.m. - Traffic stop on S. Ridge Ave. The driver was cited for speed.
10:15 p.m. - To E. Franklin St. for a report of a disturbance. A male subject was arrested for Domestic Violence and Assault. Another male arrested for Menacing.
10:59 p.m. - To the 1400 block of S. Market St. for a report of an alarm. Officers arrived to find that the glass had been broken out of the rear door. The owner arrived and, after investigating, advised that nothing appeared to be missing.
9:11 a.m. - Traffic stop on N. Market near Staunton Rd. The vehicle's registration expired on 4/1/17. The driver was cited and released.
11:58 a.m. - A man came to the Police Station to report that he was fishing by the CSX bridge and found a glass pipe under the bridge. The pipe was put in the property lockers.
5:20 p.m. - A Staunton Rd. resident called to report that his computer was involved in a "computer scam" in which he was told that he had a virus and needed to pay for the antivirus. This scam allowed someone to gain access to his bank account information and perform transfers. He said he made it to the bank in time to stop the transfers.
5:23 p.m. - To E. Franklin St. for a report of a forgery. A woman reported a case of a fraudulent check.
5:33 p.m. - Traffic sotp on Mulberry at Simpson. The driver was cited for expired license.
5:47 p.m. - To Staunton Commons Dr. for a report of an unruly juvenile.
7:08 a.m. - To E. Simpson St. for a report of criminal damaging. A man reported that his vehicle was damaged on Scott St.
3:21 p.m. - A woman came to the Police Station to turn in a driver's license she found on Peters Ave. The license belonged to a male from Dayton. The license was secured in a property locker.
6:12 p.m. - To Kroger for a report of a private property crash.
9:12 p.m. - To the area of S. Market and W. Franklin for a report of a disturbance. An intoxicated man was reported to be yelling at another male subject. The subject was located and was charged with disorderly conduct, criminal damaging/endangering, and obstructing official business after he attempted to flee, resisted arrest, kicked the cruiser window, and resisted his jail intake.
3:55 a.m. - To Inverness Ct. for a report of a disturbance. The victim was uncooperative. A man who had left the scene prior to the officer's arrival was charged with domestic violence. A warrant was requested for the man's arrest.
4:49 p.m. - To Kohls for a report of a theft in progress. An employee had a suspect in custody. The suspect was charged with one count of theft.
7:41 p.m. - To Cloverleaf Dr. to assist a squad. It was found that there was a protection order in place between the two parties who were present. One person was arrested and incarcerated for violating the protection order.
9:38 a.m. Traffic stop on S. Union at Race. The driver was cited for a temporary permit violation and for speed.
10:27 a.m. - To Staunton Commons Dr. for a report of a sex offense involving juveniles. The report was forwarded to the Investigative Unit.
11:49 a.m. - To Circle K for a report of a theft from the day before.
2:58 p.m. - To the 100 block of N. Market St. for a report of a non-injury accident. Both parties had moved to the baseball field parking lot. The driver of a Dodge said he was southbound on Market St. when he was rear-ended by the driver of a van. The driver of the van said that the driver of the Dodge slammed on his brakes causing him to hit the Dodge. The driver of the van was cited for assured clear distance.
4:07 p.m. - To Kroger for a report of a private property crash. Both vehicles were backing out of parking spaces and struck each other. Information was exchanged.
4:56 p.m. - To Dorset and Arthur Roads for a report of an accident. Two citations were issued.
5:53 p.m. - An officer saw a vehicle run the red light at Main and Elm. He initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle was not registered to the driver, and the driver had a suspended license. The driver was cited and the vehicle was towed.
7:51 p.m. - To Pond View Dr. for a report of child abuse. A woman reported that her daughter came home with blood in her underwear. The girl said that she was helped off the monkey bars at school and had blood in her underwear. The woman was advised to take the girl to Children's Hospital for evaluation.
12:36 a.m. - Traffic stop on Staunton Rd. The driver was cited for speed and for driving under suspension.
1:21 a.m. - To the Sub House parking lot for a report of an intoxicated man lying down in the lot. The man was located, refused to identify himself and spat at officers. He also resisted arrest. He was taken to the Miami County Jail.
6:25 a.m. - To E. Canal St. for a loud complaint. Six juveniles were charged with being unruly and were released to their parents.
6:38 a.m. - To the 700 block of S. Union St. for a report of an overdose.
8:21 a.m. - To the 300 block of Lincoln Ave. for a report of found property. A man reported finding a bicycle. No owner information is known.
9:26 a.m. - To N. Weston Rd. for a report of a disturbance. A juvenile was later arrested for domestic violence.
12:25 p.m. - To N. Market St. for a report of counterfeit currency. A man reported that someone passed a counterfeit $100 bill.
12:35 p.m. - To the post office for a report of a hit-skip accident.
4:24 p.m. - To McDonald's for a report of a private property crash. A driver was backing out of a parking spot and was struck by another vehicle.
6:23 p.m. - To Tim Horton's for a report of a disturbance. The RP stated that a man was exposing himself. The man denied it. Due to conflicting reports, no charges were filed.
6:30 p.m. - To Heritage Dr. for a report of a juvenile pulling a gun on another individual. The juvenile left before officers arrived. A woman stated that the juvenile pulled the gun and her husband tried to grab the juvenile and get him out of the house. She said that when he tried to grab the juvenile, the juvenile reached for the husban'ds waist band.
7:26 p.m. - To UDF for a report of a disturbance. One subject was charged wtih sexual imposition.
10:00 p.m. - To Staunton Commons Dr. for a report of a disturbance. A woman reported that her boyfriend was being abusive. She left the residence to go to her father's house.
